What is Ultracol?
It is a beauty innovation in the group of collagen stimulants beneath the skin, originating from South Korea. It is made from PDO, which stands for Polydioxanone—an absorbable suture material first introduced in the medical field in the 1980s, commonly used in internal organ surgeries such as heart surgery. Because PDO is highly biocompatible, it poses a low risk of allergic reactions. It was also the first type of suture introduced in the aesthetic industry to lift sagging cheeks, contour the face, stimulate collagen, and has continued to gain popularity to this day.
What is “Liquid Thread”?
PDO Microsphere or ULTRACOL is made from the same material used in internal surgical sutures, which has been utilized in the medical field for over 50 years. ULTRACOL is the first brand to introduce this material in the form of microspheres, turning it into an injectable liquid. This PDO Microsphere innovation stimulates collagen and naturally fills the skin. It has been certified safe in more than 40 countries worldwide.
Key Features of Liquid Thread or Ultracol
The liquid form allows for broad distribution across the face, promoting wide-area collagen stimulation.
1 vial = 1,427 threads of traditional thread lifting*
- Stimulates Type I and Type III collagen for 6–8 months without risk of nodules or granulomas
- Can be injected even in the most delicate areas such as under the eyes, and anywhere on the face with no restrictions
- Increases skin density, reduces trauma, and minimizes bruising compared to traditional thread lifting
